Behold, it is the third remembered age.
The ages are named in deference to the reigning god. First came the reign of Ahir Lohan, Lord of Life. Next, the reign of Luciirach, Lord of Light.
Let it be known that we are now under the sway of Augnithor, the Lord of Darkness, and the age is Ral'thaugnithar.
There is speculation that the next age will be the age of death, thus the schism between the fourth face of the Temioy-Gan the more recently founded faith of Sith'Raesza (These rumors are founded and spread primarly by the dark priesthood of Sith'Raesza itself.)
The world in general is made up of 1 major continent, with 2 smaller islands/continents. The races of Ralthaugnithor find them- selves split rather evenly among the surface of the world, with the darker and more black races living in the underdark, a world all it's own, under the eternal shadow of the lands above it.
The darkest of all races, the vampyr, wraiths and ghouls all live in the shadowlands, a dimension removed just one step from the main existance of Ralthaugnithor. The island in the NE hemisphere of the world, where the Vampyr reside is half in and out of the world, being hard to reach, or leave for that matter, to the relief of most races in the world. The wraiths themselves live completely in the Shadow- lands, existing neither in flesh or soul. Malignant spirits, they hold themselves together by force of will alone. Wraiths are noted to make excellent shadow-mages, as they have a better understanding of the evil in all things.
The Wraiths enter this world through a portal maintained at the dead castle/town of Rahoring, on the far western coast of the world... Ghouls spend many of their early years patrolling and scavenging the real world side of Rahoring, travelers not wishing to have their souls ripped from their bodies should be very careful of traveling here...
Far to the north of the wraithlands, lies a forest of huge and powerful beauty. Elvandar is truly a forest filled with great trees, and many elves. Both of the major elven settlements are here in the great forest, with one town dominated by followers of Ahir Lohan, and the inhabitants of the other town follow Luciirach. All is peaceful in the elven forests, and it has been said that none can raise a hand in anger, so great are the ancient elven magics.
